Robert Hinrichs

I came to Vermont in 1967, fell in love with the state and never left. I've lived in Guilford for most of that time. I feel very fortunate to have lived and raised a family in such an incredible area.

I started working as a realtor in 1988 - I had been a dairy farmer and a carpenter before that. I love working in real estate. I really enjoy working with people, listening to their ideas and concerns and helping them achieve their goals - whether it's buying the home of their dreams or selling their house as they move into a new phase of their lives. I'm a problem-solver and a good listener and I really pride myself on finding a good "fit" for the people with whom I'm working.

I feel strongly about giving back to this community that has provided me with such a wonderful home. I volunteer for Hospice, and have volunteered for our local Rescue organization for the last seven years. I also served for several years on the Big Brother/Big Sister board and currently have a "Little Brother."

In terms of pastimes, cooking is a passion of mine and I love to spend time in the woods - hiking, skiing, cutting wood. My wife and I have a huge organic garden and we raise animals organically too. Spring to fall, you will find us right here "on the farm." In the winter, we set some time aside to visit all our children who are scattered around the country. I feel very fortunate to have work that I love and so many caring people in my life.
